It's legit, and very handy

I was sceptical but I've just paid rent via Ribbon - the letting agency is happy and I've cashed out a small reward already. 1% cashback on rent makes a real difference and the setup process was nice and easy.

Is it free to join?
Yes, 100%! Tenants do not pay any fees for joining the programme or earning rewards.
How does it work?
When you sign up, you receive a bank account on Ribbon. This account can only be used to pay rent. When you pay your rent to this account, this gets forwarded to your landlord and/or managing agent whilst you receive the proof of payment. This allows us to verify your rent has been paid.
Does it work for any landlord or managing agent?
Yes! When you pay rent via Ribbon, your landlord or managing agent receives your rent straight from your account in your name—there is no landlord participation required.
Who is the account provider, Griffin?
Your operational accounts are provided by Griffin Bank Ltd (”Griffin”). Griffin is a company registered in England and Wales (No. 10842931). Griffin is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and regulated by the PRA and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Griffin’s firm reference number is 970920.
